The Worship Team has the responsibility to help make the worship services run smoothly and see that the sanctuary is prepared for each week. We line up people to be ushers, greeters and acolytes. We coordinate with the different choir directors about music. We decorate the church for the religious seasons and take care of setup for the outdoor early service in the summer. Our duties are large and small, and we always need plenty of help. We depend on the participation of our church congregation and are lucky that so many are willing to volunteer and take an active part in our services. Here’s a list of some of the things we do:
- Schedule Head Usher, Weekly Ushers, Acolytes & Greeters
- Run the Sound System
- Set up the summer outdoor equipment
- Decorate the church for Christmas
- Schedule Candle Lighters for all Sundays in the Advent Season
- Order, pickup and/or arrange poinsettias, palm branches and Easter Flowers
- Make stoles for the Confirmation Class
- Change the altar cloths and/or banners for religious seasons or special days
- Replenish pew offering envelopes & pencils and refill altar candles
- Handle occasional special activities: Name Tag Sunday, Passover Seder, CPR Class
